People
Whenever someone asks what I do, I reply, “I shoot people for a living.” It’s my black humor way of saying “I’m a photographer.” When I worked for the Texas Legislature I said (being careful to note if any secret service agents were about), “I shoot politicians for a living” This gallery contains some of what I consider are some my better portraits I have made. I believe it would be impossible for me to make the pictures I do if I didn’t deeply care for human beings. The thing is, yes I pushed the button at the exact moment these people revealed a hidden inner self, but it required their advance trust and cooperation. Without subject connection that ‘moment’ would not have happened.
